The BIG 5

Saturday August 16, Rick and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We went to the Melting pot which was so-so. Neither of us will go back i don't think but it was nice to have a dinner at a nice restaraunt where your biggest concern wasn't what was on the kids menu. Dylan got to go to her favorite uncle Tony and aunt Jo-Jo's to play with Brooklyn. She loved that!!! Anyways, cheers to 5 whole years.

A little sample of Dylan's vocab lately, i'll translate the best I can.

Hee-haw (motorcycle)

Pee-paw (chapstick)

Bobbie (barbie)

No Mama! (well you know)

Move Mama (my personal fave)

Yessie ( uncle Jesse)

Kiki (Keely)

Owie (Owen)

Pase (Page)

Mi (Miles)

Dyan (herself)

Asro (Astro)

Himming-hoo (swimming suit)

Oh and this is really funny. So Sunday we were at my mom and dads for breakfast and my dad told Dylan that he would buy her a car (hotwheel) for her birthday so later that day when we were asking her how old she would be on her birthday she said "Car!!!!" So now if you ask her how old she is going to be she simply says "2 car". Good job honey your just like you Mom!!!!!

Bear Lake

Yea! Bear Lake was a hit! We went to Bear lake over Raspberry days with our best friends/fam The Bumas. The last time we were in Bear lake all of us was when all the girls were pregnant and here we were are all again with those 2 year olds! It was so fun! Rick and I were a little worried because we have a child that refuses to sleep anywhere but the comfort of her own bed but she did really good! She slept everynight between Rick and I and slept quite soundly actually. We swam, four-wheeled and just basically relaxed. There is something so memorable and sappy about all the summers I spent at this old cabin as a little girl and now all these years later, here I am with my little girl. Thanks Bumas for all the fond memories! I love you guys!

First haircut!!!

Dylan got her first haircut a couple weeks ago and by the way just because her mom does hair does not mean she enjoyed it anymore than any other child, which is precisely why I don't bend over backwards to cut kids hair. I thought with me and Rick's texture of hair she will be perfect for the little "suri bob" (You know the haircut that a 3 year old has inspired 40 year old housewives everywhere to request from there stylists.) Anyways not the case with Dylan, I cut it, roundbrushed it out and took her home for a nap. Fast foward 3 hours I go in to get her up and because she was hot and sweaty she now had a mini-fro. So much for the sleek, straight hair I thought she had.
